Brennan’s A Numbers Guy: Record setting Hawai’i QB back and ready to throw the ball a whole lot more

As spring practice neared its finish, with nearly the full allotment of practices and scrimmages under his belt, Colt Brennan posed a question that almost seemed preposterous.
“I kind of wonder if we’ll be throwing some more?” the Warriors quarterback said.
With holes to fill on the offensive line and at running back, the idea that the record-breaking signal caller could sling passes at an even greater rate than last year isn’t all that ridiculous, but certainly worrisome for Hawai’i’s opponents this fall.
After all, Brennan is the man who threw for more touchdowns than any other quarterback in NCAA history last year. He is the man who threw for 5,549 yards, completed 72 percent of his passes and nearly averaged 400 yards passing per game.
